Neighbors, When you head back to the polls on June 16th, the choice in the District 51 State Senate runoff couldn't be clearer. This election is about trust. I was born and raised here. I built my career here, raised my family here, served here, worshipped here, and never left. My opponent left for Atlanta to work as a trial lawyer and only recently moved back when he decided a Senate seat sounded like a good retirement plan. While Philip Milam was filing the kind of frivolous lawsuits that drive up insurance costs for working families, I was here working delivering results for you. I passed Constitutional Carry. I banned men from women's sports. I helped pass the strongest election integrity law in the country. I removed radical ideologies from our classrooms and expanded school choice. I delivered property tax relief — locally and statewide — and helped return billions of your tax dollars back to you through rebates and tax cuts. And I helped pass lawsuit reform to stop trial lawyers like Mr. Milam from squeezing Georgia families. Now Mr. Milam is hiding where his campaign money comes from in apparent violation of the law while liberal trial lawyers pour tens of thousands of dollars into smearing me. State Rep. Will Wade (R-Dawsonville) has been officially named to the Georgia House of Representatives committees on banks and banking, education, and state planning and community affairs. “I am excited to be able to utilize nearly 23 years of professional experience in community banking to assist in the process of helping craft legislation that impacts the industry I love,” Wade said in a release. Similarly, with his appointment to the Georgia house Education committee, Wade said that he would use his experience from serving on the Dawson County Board of Education to influence his decisions. “I am equally humbled that I will have the chance to influence educational policy and am confident that the more than 15 years of service I spent on the Dawson County Board of Education will be invaluable as we continue the pursuit of educational excellence across Georgia,” Wade said.
